The main cause of these lines is the muscles in your lips and around your mouth are in constant use ie: kissing and smiling and over time these lines may become permanent. These lines/folds can be plumped up using dermal filler which are a safe and temporary way to add volume and definition.

What is dermal filler?

Treatment

Before we start a topical anaesthetic is applied to the entire area for treatment for 15-30min. The dermal filler is then injected into the precise areas for treatment and then massaged to smooth the product evenly. You will see instant results.

Post Treatment

Specific post treatment instructions shall be given to you in written format for you to take home and you should not apply make up for 6hrs to help reduce the risk of infection.

The dermal filler will last between 6-12 months, depending on how your body breaks down the product and each individual is different.

There is always the risk of some slight bruising or swelling with dermal fillers, but these should only last for a few days.

Dermal fillers are made up of a bio-degradable Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our bodies and all living organisms. Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and wrinkles, to restore fullness and volume to the face. As we age we lose fat and our facial muscles work closer to the skin’s surface, which allow smile lines and Crows feet to become more apparent. The dermal fillers bind to water when injected and temporarily, volumise, soften and hydrate the skin. Dermal fillers diminish over time depending on the individual response to the treatment and they contain no human or animal DNA.
